Registration closure dates:

This year Gosford City FC has decided to implement the introduction of advertised registration closing dates. We believe that having these closing dates provides players and parents the opportunity to plan ahead. It also allows the club to be more organised and have players prepared for grading days as well as CCF Team Nominations deadline in March.

We will of course accept registrations after these dates wherever we have room for players in team numbers.

 

 

 

Closing Dates:

2025 DATE TBC - please check back for further details.

NOTE: 9 - 18 years players wishing to be graded into teams must complete their registration before grading begins.

If you envisage having trouble registering by the advertised date, we encourage you to contact your relevant football manager to discuss your desire to be included in a team.

 

Payment Methods:

This year payment will be required at time of registration.

This year we are also providing access to AFTERPAY which incurs an additional non-refundable 5.8% fee.

If using AFTERPAY, please ensure you select the appropriate corresponding membership. Zip gives you the flexibility to split your fees over a series of payments.

  

NOTE: Registration needs to be paid in full prior to season commencement for a player to be activated and placed into a team.

 

Family Discounts:

Gosford City FC offer a Family Discount if 2 or more members of the same family play football for our club.

The discount applies to the 2nd player and each subsequent family player (parent/guardian/child relationship where children are under 18 and dependant and be living in the same home).

If claiming the family discount, please select the correct discount code during registration. These are shown in our fee table below.

 

Active Kids Voucher:

Active Kids Vouchers are accepted towards registration but must be applied for before registering.

This initiative is only open to school aged children in NSW (Ages 4.5 to 18 years). You will receive a $50 voucher with a unique ID number for each child that you register.

This ID number is entered when registering to automatically deduct the $50 from your registration fees- you cannot claim this retrospectively.

Photos:

All registered players will need to upload a new photograph each year. This should be a passport type photo only. No hats or sunglasses are to be worn in photos. Unacceptable photos will be rejected by CCF.

 

Player Identification:

All NEW players (only) will be required to show identification by way of a birth certificate, student ID Card, Drivers Licence or passport to confirm age. Coaches and Managers:

Coaches and Managers of teams will need to register on the My Comp App http://ccf.mycompapp.com .

Registration of team officials is free and is necessary to provide Coach and Manager access to team sheets. (Ages 11 and up). All Coaches and Managers involved with players under the age of 18 will need to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWC). This check is free and is current for 5 years for volunteers. Registration Fees:

Gosford City FC endeavours to keep registration fees as affordable as possible.

 

• ALL PLAYERS NEW TO THE CLUB RECEIVE A FREE TRAINING TOP

  

Senior Players receive a Discount for Presentation Night Tickets.

 

All registration includes referee fees for the season so there is no more to pay for season's games referees.

 

 

Training Tops:

We will be repeating last seasons training top - if you have the 2023 training top which is good to keep using there is no need to provide your top size.

If you are a new player or have outgrown last years training top etc and need a new top please provide us with the size you need as per the sizing chart below. These are sponsored tops, the less we have to buy the more the money they raise can help fund the clubs activities.

Selecting Age Groups:

Age divisions are worked out by calendar year. So if your child turns 5 between January 1st and December 31st of the playing season then your child is in Under 5's. Children turning 10 during the calendar year will be under 10's etc.

New players, please note: We are required to sight a copy of a Birth Certificate or equivalent ID for all new registrations to confirm age group registration.

 PLAYING AT GOSFORD CITY FC 5-7 years GENERAL INFORMATION: 

•  With introductory, non-competition age groups in our MiniRoos from Under 5′s to Under 7's.
•  Your kids will learn football and social skills in a fun team environment.
•  Our Home Ground is Gavenlock Oval in Narara, otherwise known as the Dragon's Den.
•  The season's games run from April till August each year.
•  Training is held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. When training is held is dependent on your team Coach's availability. 

 

CREATING TEAMS:

Player's can choose to play with friends or last seasons team mates if they wish, or we can place your child with players from the same school if you want. If you would like to be placed with a specific player or team, please include this information in the provided comment section of your registration, so your child can be allocated into that team. We will endeavour to keep teams together if you wish.

There are benefits of playing with those at the same skill level, and we can provide this opportunity for your child if you attend a PLAY DAY where we have games for the kids so we can see them in action. Dates for this to be advised, it will be in February- please ensure you join Stack App for best club communications (how to below). There is no strict grading for this age group, but there are some broader levels available as players progess to under 7 years (eg beginner, intermediate, advanced). 

 

You can submit a nomination to create your own team in any age group, this requires player numbers and a coach and manager submission. Forms are attached with instructions, this needs to be submitted to the relevant Football Manager.

GIRLS @ GOSFORD 

We encourage girls to join our all girls teams, we are seeing huge benefits for our girls playing in the all girls competitions - but it is the individual players choice if they wish to play in the all girls competion or the mixed competition (boy & girls). We will support our players whatever they choose. There is an all girls under 6 and under 7 competition, under 6 years is available as a combined age group of both under 5 and under 6 players.

Both options of all girls or mixed team are available to you when registering.

 

COACHES & MANAGERS

We are a Grass Roots sporting Club run by volunteers. All our teams have a Coach and a Manager, these roles are filled by parent/family volunteers from the team. No experience is necessary and the Club provides information and training on how to do these roles. 

For those wanting to play with friends and create their own team these are the numbers of players that are required:

The club must assess each request individually to ensure player safety and fairness to all our teams. We will wherever possible accommodate requests. Players wanting to play up in a team in under 9’s and over must attend grading- for both their actual age group and the age group they want to play in.

ADVANCED TEAMS-  for players wanting to play at the highest level in the advanced teams, these teams will be determined by our Play Day.

CREATING TEAMS 9-11 YEARS:   

Players choose their priority to either play socially or to be graded into a team.

SOCIAL TEAM PLACEMENT: this means your priority is to be with specific friends, and both friends need to make this preferance. You can even make your own team if you collect enough players. Social teams are for C/D levels of competition- for those wanting to play at a higher level of compeition (A/B graded) you must attend Grading. We will still have a Play Day to assess players and group them together to complete teams and see what level of competition they will play in.

GRADED TEAM PLACEMENT: This is for our higher level A/B graded teams, players must attend Grading through February to be assessed and teams will be formed based on the grading days. Friend requests can not be made to enter these teams.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

Playing football at Gosford City Football Club is a great way for your kids to stay fit, and learn key life skills in a safe, fun team environment, with guidance from qualified coaches.

The Dragons offer age groups across our Youth program from Under 12′s to Under 18′s, we want to see all youth playing- from those wanting to have fun with their friends, to those who dream of the big time!

Football on the coast offers both a mixed male/female Youth competition as well as a female only Girl's Youth competition.

 

• Mixed Youth competition: offers under 12, under 13, under 14, under 15 and under 16 years teams. Games are played on Saturdays.

 

• Girls Youth competition: offers under 12, under 14, under 16 and under 18 years teams (2 years combined under each age group eg under 14 includes under 13 & 14's). Games are played on Sundays.

 

• Men's Youth competition: under 18's, games played on Sundays.

 

GIRLS @ GOSFORD

We encourage girls to join our all girls teams, we are seeing huge benefits for our girls playing in the all girls competitions - but it is the individual players choice if they wish to play in the all girls competion or the mixed competition (boy & girls). We will support our players whatever they choose. Both options are available to you, but are accessed when registering the following ways:

• Under 13 & 15 years registration will offer you just the mixed competition in your age group- register as that but add in the comments you want to be in the all girls competition and we will add you to it when we receive your registration from CCF.
• Under 12, 14, 16 will receive both the girls and mixed options when registering 

18 years: Girls turning 17 or 18 years option is to play in the all girls/womens competition only, this is the age where players are separated into either womens or mens competition.

After turning 18 girls move into the All Age womens competition.

HOW WE CREATE TEAMS

All teams are placed in a grade of competition offered by Central Coast Football- from A - D grade.

• ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND GRADING DAYS TO ASSESS PLAYERS FOR THEIR BEST SUITED TEAM TO PLAY IN.
• GRADING WILL BE HELD MONDAYS IN FEBRUARY (DATES TO BE CONFIRMED)

 

A/B Grade competitive teams- these teams are created based on individual skill level, all players must attend grading days to be graded into these teams. Friend requests are not accepted for these teams.

C/D Grade social teams- players wishing to form their own team still attend grading to have their team graded to ensure they're playing in the correct level of competition for their teams overall skill level. For those wanting to play with friends and create their own team these can only be C/D teams, A/B are club graded only. These are the numbers of players that are required:

We aim to have our teams created at the beginning of March, teams must be submitted to Central Coast Football for inclusion in the competition by March 10^th. Registrations can be accepted after that date but only where we have an available spot in a team. We encourage those wanting to invite friends to play to do so early to ensure they don’t miss out.

GIRLS/WOMENS

Gosford City Football Club Girl's and Women's Teams

 

BUILDING WOMEN'S FOOTBALL @ GOSFORD CITY FC 

Our club committee are fully commited to Women's football, we encourage all women to join a team- whether you are a current or returning player, or brand new to the game! Joining a team means football and fitness, as well as community and friendship. We see first hand the benefits of being involved in a team for our players, providing a place for fun, physical health and social wellbeing. 

Many players create their own teams- gathering 14 - 20 players, while there's 11 on the field and 16 allowed on the team sheet each week, we do find that with other life commitments having a larger team helps ensure you have enough players each week. We can also help facilitate players into teams if signing up individually.

All Age Womens competition

Women's all age teams are for anyone over 18 years, and are ranged from grading AA1 to AA7. Gosford City FC are always keen to have new or experienced players join our women's teams, with the games scheduled on Sundays.

Over 35's Womens competition

NEW FOR 2024: For women turning 35 years and up who would prefer to play against those closer to their own age this is now be available, we have seen the success for this in the Mens and we're sure it will be just as popular in the Womens. Games are planned to run on Friday nights, which is a great option for those wanting to keep their weekend free too.

This season our Gosford Academies will be run by Coever Central Coast. Coever has been around since 1984, and involved with football in Australia for at least the last 20 years – it is a highly respected training program within the football community both in Australia and internationally. I have in my own experience around football since my youth seen the Coerver training and feel this is a good fit for our club and players. When considering what our players want to get out of attending our Academies we are confident that the Coerver techniques will help our players achieve their football goals (more info here https://coerver.com.au/about

We recommend our academies for any players who are wanting to drive their football skill level up, be it that your child is currently a beginner, intermediate or advanced player they can benefit from attending this additional training. We know from all the information coming from Football Australia that frequency of training makes a massive impact on player growth, we offer our Gosford Academies to help facilitate this offer for additional training.

What started as a small group of our teams having Academies available to them has now expanded to the point where we are able to make this available to more of our young players to join, we are conscious of the increased costs of living and have thankfully secured Wyong Leagues Group as our Academy sponsor for this season- this sponsorship will subsidise the cost of participating in the Academies for all our players. We will have a term 2 and term 3 Academy running, each being 10 weeks duration, 1 hr session per week for the cost of $100 per term.

Cost for 10 sessions = $110 (normal price over $200)

10 sessions held on Mondays Term 2 @ Lisarow High School – dates are April 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, July 1st.

Academies will be available in both Mixed and Girls groups and in the following age brackets:

…5-6PM – 6/7years & 8/9 years

…6-7PM 10/11 years & 12-14 years

Under 5, 15 and 16 years by expression of interest.
