REGISTRATIONS OPEN 6th JANUARY 2026

 

 

 

PlayFootball online transaction fees:

The PlayFootball system does charge online transaction fees which are additional to registrations and are not refundable by clubs. 

 

Under 5 and 6 years REGISTRATION SPECIAL - $50!

In 2026 we focus on helping to get more young Dragons playing football - with a massive discount on registration taking it down to only $50! 

We have made the discount for under 5 and 6 players huge! Unfortunately with the new PlayFootball System it works in a way that you will be charged $68 for your registration fee, BUT we will provide refunds directly to you once your registration has been paid for the additional $18 taking your registration back to $50. This is the first year of using PlayFootball recently so we were unaware that the changes wouldn't allow us to make such a significant discounted registration- we apologise for the inconvenience.

Any payment transaction fees/surchages paid to PlayFootball are not refundable by our club. 

 

Referee Fees: 

All registration prices include the Referee Fees for games that are played within the official season. This is paid for by the club throughout the season as part of the club portion of your fees.

Any trial games played by teams in the pre-season are not included in registration and need to be paid by individual teams. 

The club portion of registration fees also goes towards training equipment, goals, field maintenance, line marking, playing shirts and other operational costs. We do not calculate the club portion to have a set amount of referee fees or as full coverage (for example we know senior games rarely have a main referee and two officials, so we don't calculate based on that). The club portion of registration fees do not cover the actual costs each season, we rely on fundraising and grants to cover full costs. Regardless of this, we will not ask teams for any addition in season referee fees contributions. 

 

Discounts:

FAMILY DISCOUNT: For those with immediate family (parents with dependent children under the age of 18) playing at Gosford we offer a $10 discount off each registration. The discount code needs to be used during registration, and the $10 cannot be refunded afterwards if it is not used while registering (cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts).

To use the family discount please register family members at the same time so our Registrars can see the family registrations it applies to and approve accordingly. 

 

PLAYING LIFE MEMBER DISCOUNT: For those who have been awarded Playing Life Member level for 15 years playing loyalty with Gosford City FC - receive a $40 Discount off registration (cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts).

CCF MYCOMPAPP:

Everything you use during the season remains unchanged: draws, results, ladders, wet-weather updates, match day information and competition management will continue to be delivered in CCF MyCompApp.

Your week-to-week experience will not change and you will only have to register once to PlayFootball.

 

Active Kids Voucher:

Active Kids Vouchers are accepted towards registration but must be applied for before registering.

This initiative is only open to school aged children in NSW (Ages 4.5 to 18 years). You will receive a $50 voucher with a unique ID number for each child that you register.

You must enter your Active Kids Voucher when registering to automatically deduct the $50 from your registration fees- you cannot claim this retrospectively.

Photos:

All registered players will need to upload a new photograph each year. This should be a passport type photo only. No hats or sunglasses are to be worn in photos. Unacceptable photos will be rejected by CCF.

 

Player Identification:

All NEW players will be required to show identification by way of a birth certificate, student ID Card, Drivers Licence or passport to confirm age. 

 

Training Tops:

Training Tops have been issued for a 2 Year Period- thanks to our Training Tops Sponsors who make this possible! 

Our 2025 Red Training Top will be featured in 2026 also.

We do not provide a new training top in the second year automatically, this isn't financially possible. We appreciate everyone helping us on this and retaining and caring for your 2025 top.

If you are a new player or have outgrown last years training top etc and need a new top please provide us with the size you need as per the sizing chart below. You can submit your top sizing need in the Player Information Form you complete online (link also in registration process).

Selecting Age Groups:

Age divisions are worked out by calendar year. So if your child turns 5 between January 1st and December 31st of the playing season then your child is in Under 5's. Children turning 10 during the calendar year will be under 10's etc.

New players, please note: We are required to sight a copy of a Birth Certificate or equivalent ID for all new registrations to confirm age group registration.

•  With introductory, non-competition age groups in our MiniRoos from Under 5′s to Under 7's.
•  Your kids will learn football and social skills in a fun team environment.
• Our Home Ground is Gavenlock Oval in Narara, otherwise known as the Dragon's Den.
• Training is at either Gavenlock Oval Narara or Fagan Park Point Clare.
• The season's games run from April till August each year.
• Training is held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. When training is held is dependent on your team Coach's availability. 

 

CREATING TEAMS:

Player's can choose to play with friends or last seasons team mates if they wish, or we can place your child with players from the same school if you want. If you would like to be placed with a specific player or team, please include this information in the provided comment section of your player information form, so your child can be allocated into that team. We will endeavour to keep teams together if you wish.

There is no strict grading for this age group, but there are some broader levels available as players progess to under 7 years (eg beginner, intermediate, advanced).

GIRLS @ GOSFORD 

We encourage girls to join our all girls teams, we are seeing huge benefits for our girls playing in the all girls competitions - but it is the individual players choice if they wish to play in the all girls competion or the mixed competition (boy & girls). We will support our players whatever they choose. There is an all girls under 5, 6 and 7 years teams.

Both options of all girls or mixed team are available to you when registering.

 

COACHES & MANAGERS

We are a Grass Roots sporting Club run by volunteers. All our teams have a Coach and a Manager, these roles are filled by parent/family volunteers from the team. No experience is necessary and the Club provides information and training on how to do these roles. 

For those wanting to play with friends and create their own team these are the numbers of players that are required:

CREATING TEAMS 9-11 YEARS:   

Players choose their priority to either play socially or to be graded into a team.

SOCIAL TEAM PLACEMENT: this means your priority is to be with specific friends, and both friends need to make this preferance. You can even make your own team if you collect enough players. Social teams are for C/D levels of competition- for those wanting to play at a higher level of compeition (A/B graded) you must attend Grading. 

GRADED TEAM PLACEMENT: This is for our higher level A/B graded teams, players must attend Grading where reequested to be assessed and teams will be formed based on the grading. Friend requests can not be made to enter these teams.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

Playing football at Gosford City Football Club is a great way for your kids to stay fit, and learn key life skills in a safe, fun team environment, with guidance from passionate coaches.

The Gosford Dragons offer age groups across our Youth program from Under 12′s to Under 18′s, we want to see all youth playing- from those wanting to have relaxed fun with their friends, to those who dream of the big time!

 

PLAYER INFORMATION FORM- once you have registered please complete the player information form so we have the relevant information about your child. Please read on below for more information about Youth Teams.

YOUTH TEAMS: Football on the coast offers both a mixed male/female Youth competition as well as a female only Girl's Youth competition.

 

• Mixed Youth competition: offers under 12, under 13, under 14, under 15 and under 16 years teams. Games are played on Saturdays.

 

• Girls Youth competition: offers under 12, under 13, under 14, under 16 and under 18 years teams (2 years combined under each age group eg under 16 includes under 15 & 16's). Games are played on Sundays.

 

• Men's Youth competition: under 18's, games played on Sundays.

 

GIRLS @ GOSFORD

HOW WE CREATE TEAMS

All teams are placed in a grade of competition offered by Central Coast Football- from A - D grade for mixed, and A & B for Girls comp.

• NEW PLAYERS TO GOSFORD AND EXISTING PLAYERS WANTING TO GRADE UP ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND GRADING DAYS TO ASSESS PLAYERS FOR THEIR BEST SUITED TEAM TO PLAY IN.
• GRADING WILL BE HELD MONDAYS IN FEBRUARY (DATES TO BE CONFIRMED)

 

A/B Grade competitive teams- these teams are created based on individual skill level, all players must attend grading days if requested to be graded into these teams. Friend requests are not accepted for these teams.

C/D Grade social teams- players wishing to prioritise playing with friends and may be different levels of skill are able to do so in the C/D graded teams.

Teams must be submitted to Central Coast Football for inclusion in the competition at the start of March. Registrations can be accepted after that date but only where we have an available spot in a team. GIRLS/WOMENS

Gosford City Football Club Girl's and Women's Teams

 

BUILDING WOMEN'S FOOTBALL @ GOSFORD CITY FC 

Our club committee are fully commited to Women's football, we encourage all women to join a team- whether you are a current or returning player, or brand new to the game! Joining a team means football and fitness, as well as community and friendship. We see first hand the benefits of being involved in a team for our players, providing a place for fun, physical health and social wellbeing. 

Many players create their own teams- gathering 14 - 20 players, while there's 11 on the field and 16 allowed on the team sheet each week, we do find that with other life commitments having a larger team helps ensure you have enough players each week. We can also help facilitate players into teams if signing up individually.

All Age Womens competition

Women's all age teams are for anyone over 18 years, and are ranged from grading AA1 to AA7. Gosford City FC are always keen to have new or experienced players join our women's teams, with the games scheduled on Sundays.

Over 35's Womens competition

For women turning 35 years and up who would prefer to play against those closer to their own age this is now be available, we have seen the success for this in the Mens and we're sure it will be just as popular in the Womens. Games are planned to run on Friday nights, which is a great option for those wanting to keep their weekend free too.

Men's Football at Gosford City Football Club

We value Men's Football at Gosford City FC - whether you are playing Grade, MAA, over 35s or 45s. We strive to have a connected club where players can have a lifelong experience of playing at the level that suits where they are in life. 

We value being a grassroots club and having a pathway for our Juniors and Senior players to come through and play at the highest level of Men's Football in the Central Coast Competition. Seeing many of our grade players now having made the Gosford City journey is something we are immensely proud of.

Club Meetings

All GCFC monthly General Meetings are held at Gosford RSL Club on the first Monday of the month, starting at 7:30pm.

Gosford RSL is a long time supporter and sponsor of GCFC.

 

General Meetings are open to all. Voting on matters at General Meetings is available to all club financial members (A financial member must have paid all their fees for the current year and is a registered player 18 years or older or parents/guardians of a player under the age of 18 or any other members of the Club such as Coaches, Managers, Committee Person, Life Members or anyone who has paid a fee to be a non-playing member of the Club all club members, being players or parents of players).

COAST FM 96.3

Coast FM 96.3 is a community radio station broadcasting across the Central Coast of NSW, from Patonga to Norah Head and west to Mangrove Mountain. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week from its studios at 139 Faunce Street Gosford with a variety of music and information programs that aim to reflect the lifestyle of the Central Coast. Local news is also an important contribution to our Central Coast coverage. A journalist is employed by Coast FM to research, compile and present 5 local news bulletins per day, Monday to Friday.

From 6 in the morning until 6 at night weekdays we play Classic Hits, a blend of timeless tracks from the 60s to the 90s. Specialty shows broadcast in the evenings and across the weekend, from youth oriented programmes to a range of music shows, sport, comedy, radio plays and local performing arts.  The mood of Coast FM is relaxed and friendly, with a carefully chosen mix of music, local content, information and news for the community.

Coast FM is a not-for-profit organisation. Central Coast Community FM Radio Association Inc. was incorporated in 1988 and all the presenters at the radio station are volunteers – around 60 in total. Volunteers also man the front office 9.00 am to 12.00 noon weekdays, do fundraising and other activities, represent members on our management committee and other working groups. To support Coast FM’s mainly volunteer operation and generate income for the station, we also have a station manager, sponsorship sales team, and office support.

Coast FM aims to be a local voice for the Central Coast community by broadcasting a diverse range of programs made by volunteers to inform, engage, entertain and connect the Central Coast community. Coast FM also aims to be of service to and accessible to community organisations and the broader community on the Central Coast, including through broadcast of community service announcements and interviews.
